Who Is Brittney?
I truly believe that travel is a privilege that allows you to immerse yourself in the richness of other countries, while acting as a healing tool for the mind, body and spirit!
I am the Founder and Chief Empow(her)ment Officer for Cent(her)ed Collective.
As a black women in America, I know the extent to which the lived experience of racism and gender discrimination can impact one’s wellbeing. I also know that surrounding yourself with other like-minded women can be incredibly affirming and liberating. It is in this vein that I developed the Cent(her)ed Collective as a community to facilitate healing for my girls, both young and seasoned! I obtained my Master’s degree in Personality Psychology from Howard University and another Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am a mental health clinician, avid reader and travel enthusiast! Born in Hawaii to military parents, I caught the travel bug fairly early and have been chasing adventure ever since! I have been fortunate to travel around the world and discover my love of diverse cultural practices and experiences. I invite you to join us on this transformative journey!
